If it feels good, tastes good
It must be mine
Heroes always get remembered
But you know legends never die
It's not easy to be a half-breed, especially when the non-human part of your lineage isn't around to give you lessons on how to be a cambion. Tucker has tried to compensate, over the years, by giving in utterly to both sides. First he tried the incubus. He spent secondary school between the legs of various willing parties, male and female alike, inciting and feeding off of desire. He fell in love with one of his willing victims, a boy with green eyes and sandy hair and a knack for numbers. He blew it in record time, unable to keep himself in his pants.
When college came, he tried to walk the path of the human. Other positive emotions could serve as a substitute for lust. He fed off of laughter, pride, that eureka moment of scientific illumination. Granted, they were like TV dinners, but they sufficed. His grades at Shepherd University were exemplary, and he was finally able to put that high IQ of his to good use, now that he wasn't constantly seeking sexual gratification. He got a job at a coffee shop down the street. He chose a major that fascinated him.
It was living this very human life that brought Beth Lyons right into it. They were schoolmates, the same age, and Tucker wondered how he had never gotten to know her before. She was as clever as she was beautiful, and it was hard to say which one of them fell for the other first, though Beth surely did a much better job hiding it than Tucker did. It's also hard to say who's more wrapped around the other's finger.

Love, as Tucker would surely say if anybody bothered to ask him, is a very human thing. And one might argue that it's freed him up to pursue the demonic part of his lineage once again. Because he's starting to realize that the answer lies not in choosing one side over the other, but in finding a path down the middle. With Beth holding down his humanity and sating his more carnal needs, his half-sister Freya encourages his darkness. And there's a new face in town, too. Sebastian Moreau has returned to guide his son on his path to...whatever the opposite of redemption might be. Or maybe it is redemption, wrapped up in a cloak of darkness.
Of course, the problem with loving a Lyons is that they're cursed. And Tucker is finding that the curse extends to his mother's line as well, the Lucases. Their connection to Shepherd University's mysterious origins and a group of witches called the Counsel has pulled him into the folds of London's supernatural community--and its big-wigs. They say they need a man like him, somebody quick-witted and skilled in research. If they offer him the resources to track down the origin of the Lucas-Lyons curse, all the better.
Meanwhile, Tucker works out his new abilities and learns to spread his wings. Literally, he has leathery black wings that can support his weight, though he flies with no grace or skill. He has teeth and claws that he can summon at will, sharp and wicked things designed to destroy in alarming contrast to those sweet, sultry blue eyes and boyish smile. He can also, when he feels like it, switch gender. Being a woman is fun, sometimes, you know. His ass certainly looks better.
It's good to have a life, no matter how complicated that life may be. And although he knows he has far to go and a lot to learn, he's as happy as a cambion can be. As it turns out, that's pretty happy.
