We started out with half a dozen players and a pretty basic meta-plot in January of 2015, but the more talent we got, the richer our stories got, and we realized that we needed to make our setting bigger. We launched the bigger setting in September of 2015.
It was ambitious, to say the least. At some point, our Storyteller threw her hands up and said, "You guys don't even need me to move plot for you, anymore. This mess has a life of its own! Why don't we just go old school and centralize our various arcs on a social setting?"
And so we did.
Our stories occur in modern day London, England, UK. We like our reality peppered with a healthy dose of fantasy and can accommodate a little science fiction, but we definitely lean more toward the former.
We try to run easy, plot-related group adventures at least a couple of times a month, interest and attendance permitting. We also encourage our players to run their own with the Storyteller's seal of approval. (Don't let that scare you off from bringing ideas forward, her seal of approval is probably a smudgy teriyaki sauce thumb print or something.)
Everyone here is the star of their own show, but is also part of an ensemble cast, so group play is not just encouraged but required. Whether you only have time to drop in for the occasional casual scene or you want to throw together a character profile and get more involved, as long as you're not an asshole -- you, the player; we don't mind if your character is an asshole -- come on through. We're friendly.
