Argosy was founded in 1792 by a son of the first Donovan of Lancashire. For centuries it has provided rare and antique volumes for scholars and lovers of literature. It seemed that whichever Donovan was working the counter that day had a knack for finding just about any book one was on the hunt for, no matter how hard to find, or how illegal it might be depending on the title. From the esoteric to the classic, Argosy has been a helpful beacon for those in the community. With two floors and stacked floor to ceiling, the every day customer could find works on self-help, biographies and historical non-fiction, along with the latest bestsellers -- while those who sought instructions on spells and potions and the history of magics could find such things on the upper shelving. Argosy is not just a book store, but also a home to the Council Elder of the Donovan family, and houses not only that important man, but has a vault of rooms for the grimoires of each of the six families and other such archival items in the basement. There's rumors among the older generations of a port key gilded in gold with the face of lion somewhere within Argosy's neo-gothic architecture as well.
